Frita’s was the first place we stopped on our first day in Key West! We were starving from the plane ride and stumbled upon Frita’s. We were warmly welcomed by Henry, who made our first day/meal in Key West very special. The food is AMAZING and the atmosphere is so fun too. I highly recommend the rice and beans and the plantains. The food makes this restaurant great (our personal favorite on the island), but the staff makes it even better. We decided to go back a couple days later before the end of our trip to see Henry again and try more of the yummy food! Definitely give Frita’s a visit. 5 stars all around.
We were looking for some cuban food and found Frita's right down the street. Frita's is absolutely amazing, from the atmosphere, the service, to the amazing food! Henry is an amazing young man. So thankful, kind and courteous. Everyone working at Frita's was so very humble. Having Henry as your server makes the experience at Frita's that much better. The food was out of this world. The flavors were bursting your taste buds, and exploding with every bite. Each day we stopped we tried something new and it never disappointed. Each menu item just kept getting better. The original Frita Burger with egg is a go to choice, the Arepas are out of this world, the beans and rice with plantains is so on point that you will crave this everyday. Birro Tacos were the best we have ever had. The consume had our tastes bud explode with joy. The tamales were so flavorful it is hard to describe. The masa was seasoned perfectly, then one order we added pork and that was next level. The pork was so tender, juicy and succulent. The flan was a subtle sweet treat. Such depth of flavor in each bite. This is Key West's best place for Cuban food. Highly recommended to stop in and enjoy not only the food, but the staff and atmosphere!
A random little stop on our bike ride through key west ...greeted by Henry our waiter who was so attentive and lovely! We tried the chicken empanadas, the original frita with egg and cheese, yucca fries, chicken tacos, and the corn! All were AHHHMAZING! Definitely give it a try!
Been in Key West for 3 days. Best meal I’ve had yet. It’s a small family owned hidden gem. Everyone is incredibly bright and friendly and the food is unique and amazing. Told them I’d be back tomorrow for lunch!
This place is a little hole in the wall but it should definitely be on your list to try in KW. The woman at the cigar shop on the corner recommend this to us (go check her Frita’s out!) Our server was outstanding! Got to meet miss Frita! (The dog) we had never tried Cuban before and it was something different for sure, so delicious! The fries and pork tacos were our favorite. Cuban sandwich also didn’t disappoint! Will be back next year.
First a shoutout to my boriqua brother, Henry, who made the experience perfect! If you’re fortunate to have him as your waiter, he is very welcoming and friendly. The food... OMG! It’s off the hook (check out the pictures). I had their popular El Fuego Frita (perfect taste) and my wife had the Cuban, which was amazing. Their sangria was perfect and had mango and cinnamon (that was such a nice touch). Anyway, if you are in Key West, you must check out this little gem! You won’t regret it!
Just off the beaten path, situated in a small alley is this hidden jem. I saw the reviews and put it on my list of places to try. We ordered a variety of dishes, and all were amazing.
Amazing and authentic food. Our server was great and came back multiple times during our week vacation. The empanadas, conch fritters, Cuban egg rolls, mangonada are top tier and our course the Cuban sandwich is a must get. For anyone visiting Key West this is a must visit spot for good food, I personally will be returning on our next vacation
